Coaching is about Celebrating Success as well

“Probably the most neglected friend you have is you.”    When I am coaching my clients they are usually coming to me with “issues”; “challenges”; “crisis.”  We work through them and then onto the next one.  However, I continue to encourage my guys…no, I am insisting that they look for their successes and find opportunities to acknwoledge what they have accomplished.  For many of us this is a tough request.  With one of my toughest and hardest-on-himself clients we had a breaktrhough this past week.  He called me with a MAJOR financial success and then again today with another personal success.  Together we were able to celebrate and recognize his accomplishments.  Great job Dr. Eric!

Coaching is about celebrating successes and accordingly I pose the following questions to you:

  1. How can you take care of you this week?
  2. Identify one thing you would really like to do to make you feel good and do it!
  3. What will it be?
